‘Jordan Shield FTX23’ military drill concludes

AMMAN — Deputising for Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Maj. Gen. Yousef Huneiti, Brig. Gen. Abdullah Shdiefat on Thursday attended the closing ceremony of the "Jordan Shield FTX23" drill at the Jordan Armed Forces hotel.
The ceremony included a symposium of self-evaluations of the drill, implemented by various military and civil institutions in cooperation with the Defence Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA) and the Colorado National Guard (CONG) across the Kingdom, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
JAF assistant chairman for planning, organisation and defence resources highlighted the importance of such events amid a changing strategic environment that requires periodical revision for strategies and plans with the aim of improving national capacities.
Director of the Cooperative Threat Reduction (CTR) Department at DTRA Robert Pope expressed his honour in working with the Jordanian government for 10 years to reduce the risks of weapons of mass destruction, where Jordan has proven its ability to preserve the security of its borders.
