1.2m narcotic pills seized on Jordan-Saudi border — anti-drug police

AMMAN — Anti-Narcotics Department (AND) personnel on Wednesday foiled an alleged attempt to smuggle 1.2 million narcotic pills at the Omari Border Crossing between Jordan and Saudi Arabia, a Public Security Directorate statement said on Wednesday.
AND personnel, in cooperation with the Jordan Customs Department, searched a heavy vehicle, found the pills hidden inside the wheels and arrested one suspect. The search is ongoing to arrest other suspects, the statement added.
