‘2,460 tourists visit Southern Mazar shrines in July’

SOUTHERN MAZAR — A total of 2,460 tourists in July visited the tombs of the companions of Prophet Mohammad who died in Mutah Battle, Osama Tarawneh, supervisor of the Southern Mazar shrines said on Sunday.
He noted that 1,023 Muslim visitors came from foreign countries, 740 from Arab countries and 697 visitors were Jordanians. He added that work is under way to build gardens and inner passages that connect the shrines and provide comfort for visitors at a cost of JD650,000.
