AMMAN — A total of 280,000 people have received the third booster shot of a COVID-19 vaccine amid a "remarkable turnout" of the public, the Health Ministry said on Sunday.
Adel Bilbeisi, Ministry of Health's official in charge of the COVID-19 crisis, told the Jordan News Agency, Petra, that citizens' turnout to receive vaccination is "promising", calling on all citizens and residents to receive vaccines to protect themselves from severe illness and death.
Bilbeisi also highlighted the importance of taking the third booster jab for those who exceeded three months of receiving the second shot so as to increase their immunity to up to 80 per cent and protect against the Omicron variant of COVID-19.
