AMMAN — The Education Ministry has recorded 48 violations at private educational institutions since the beginning of the school year, Ministry Spokesperson Abdulghafour Quraan said on Tuesday.
The ministry issued warnings, cancelled licences and levelled fines of up to JD3,000, as well as referring violating institutions to specialised courts, Quraan added as reported by the Jordan News Agency, Petra.
He stressed that these measures are aimed at rectifying the work process for violations related to blocking educational platforms for students and holding students' files for financial reasons, in addition to violating health protocols and public safety measures in light of the COVID-19 pandemic.
The ministry receives complaints on government e-platforms, insaf.gov.jo platform, [email protected], and via the hotline 062009944, he added.
