AMMAN — Chairman of the National Centre for Human Rights (NCHR) Irahil Gharaibeh on Sunday entrusted Reem Abu Dalbouh, member of NHCR board of trustees, to run the centre throughout the absence of the Commissioner General, until a final verdict is issued in the case before the judiciary, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.

The decision to name Abu Dalbouh comes to ensure the continuation of implementing the centre’s national duties in accordance with Law No. 51 of 2006 and its amendments.

Abu Dalbouh holds a PhD in civil law, and has been a professor of law since 1995, enjoying an extensive practical experience in human rights and political and local affairs.

The former Lower House deputy also chaired the Joint Parliamentary Women and Family Legal Affairs Committee and was assigned as member of the Royal Committee to Modernise the Political System and several specialised legal and human rights committees.
