ACC calls for Jordanian-Palestinian economic meeting

AMMAN — Chairman of the Amman Chamber of Commerce (ACC) Khalil Hajj Tawfiq on Saturday called for organising a Jordanian-Palestinian economic meeting between the private sectors next month in Amman to discuss issues that are currently hindering progress on boosting economic relations.
During a meeting with the head and members of the Hebron-based Palestinian businesspeople forum, Hajj Tawfiq stressed the chamber's commitment to follow up on the outcomes of the meeting with stakeholders, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
He added that strengthening economic cooperation between the countries at the current stage will enhance resilience in Jerusalem and the entire Palestine, stressing the need for private sector institutions to take the initiative to enhance commercial ties.Amer Essili, head of the forum, highlighted the importance of supporting economic and commercial relations between the countries and find avenues to exchange goods.
