Ali, UAE minister discuss economic cooperation

AMMAN — Minister of Industry, Trade and Supply Maha Al Ali and UAE Minister of Economy Abdullah Bin Touq Al Marri on Wednesday discussed means of bolstering the two countries’ cooperation in the economic sectors, notably trade and investment.
The two ministers, during a virtual meeting, stressed the importance of building on the “solid” Jordanian-UAE economic ties, calling for setting up cooperation mechanisms that keep pace with latest global developments related to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
They also agreed to hold a virtual Jordanian-UAE joint committee meeting to discuss means of boosting trade, enhancing agricultural integration towards enhancing the two countries food stocks, as well as sharing the UAE experience in regulating e-commerce and digitisation of the economy.
