‘Amman municipality employees to work 24-hour shifts during Eid’

AMMAN — The Greater Amman Municipality (GAM) announced next Saturday a day off for its employees, “to enable them to work efficiently” during the Eid Al Adha holiday.
Speaking at a meeting with heads of GAM departments, Amman Mayor Aqel Biltaji said the holiday, from Sunday to Thursday requires providing 24-hour work shifts, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
Omar Lozi, Amman city director, said GAM’s work during the holiday will cover all sectors, noting that the municipality decided to halt work in construction during the holiday so as not to disturb residents. He added that all GAM public parks across Amman will be ready to receive visitors during the holiday.
