AMMAN — Amman's Interpol office took custody of a suspect from the UAE's authorities, who allegedly wrote bad cheques, a Public Security Department (PSD) statement said on Monday.
As well as being accused of writing dishonoured cheques worth an estimated JD958,000, he was also wanted in connection with 22 other cases.
The PSD added that pursuit of the suspect came after the prosecutor received numerous complaints against him. After investigations tracked the suspect to the UAE, he was detained by the UAE's Interpol office and transferred to Jordan through Queen Alia International Airport. The PSD commended UAE authorities for their cooperation.
