AMMAN — Minister of Investment Khairy Amr and Minister of Industry, Trade and Supply Yousef Shamali on Tuesday visited a number of industrial investments in Naour with the aim of communicating with investors and listening to their demands and suggestions regarding the investment environment.
Secretary General of the Ministry of Investment Zaher Qatarneh and head of the Jordan and Amman Chambers of Industry Fathi Jaghbeer accompanied the ministers.
Amr affirmed the government's keenness to follow up on the difficulties facing investors, overcome obstacles facing them, and increase the Kingdom's investment attractiveness.
The visits allow investors to talk about the challenges they face, Amr added, stressing that the Ministry of Investment was established to serve and enable investment projects and facilitate the services provided to those projects, in addition to supporting Jordanian exports through specialised exhibitions.
“The doors of the Ministry of Investment are open to investors to listen to their suggestions and recommendations, which will be taken seriously,” he highlighted
He pointed out that the private sector is “a major tributary” to the national economy and “a real partner” of the government in alleviating the problems of unemployment and poverty.
Shamali noted that there are many support programmes directed at enhancing investment, referring to the Industry Support Fund and the reduction of electricity used by the industrial sector and other measures supporting the national industry.
