Anti-drug police register 3,013 cases so far this year

AMMAN — The Anti-Narcotics Department (AND) has registered 3,013 drug cases this year, of which 2,545 were for drug possession, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported. During a meeting with community leaders on Monday in northern Ghor, Lt. Col. Fadi Atiyat confirmed that the anti-drug drive by the AND facilitates drug addicts free treatment at a centre affiliated with the Public Security Department. He also highlighted the dangers of substance use and the role of family in raising awareness of drug abuse.
