Anti-drugs agency destroys seized narcotics

AMMAN — The Anti-Narcotics Department has destroyed a large amount of recently seized narcotics in ten cases, including 28 million Captagon pills, 26kg of heroin and 5,325kg of cannabis, according to a Public Security Department statement on Wednesday.
Narcotics that are no longer needed as criminal evidence are incinerated using special ovens, were temperatures reach 1,000°C, the police statement said. These ovens are equipped with high-sensitivity filters that prevent any leakages to the outside environment.
