AMMAN — The Jordan Integrity and Anti-Corruption Commission (JIACC) prosecutor has decided to detain nine people for 15 days at the Juwaideh Rehabilitation and Reform Centre, including two who work at the Greater Amman Municipality (GAM), for charges related to bribery, counterfeiting and exploitation of office, a JIACC source said on Monday.
The prosecutor general also charged more than 20 people at the GAM and the Department of Land and Survey (DLS) with the same charges, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported. The suspects formed a group that forged work permits and attributed them to the GAM.
