Arab Lawyers Union honours late justice minister

CAIRO — The Arab Lawyers Union (ALU) on Friday honoured the late Hussein Mjalli, a former justice minister and Jordan Bar Association president, in commemoration of his services to the union and to the legal profession in the Arab world.
His son, Wamid, who is also a lawyer, received the union plaque at the opening of the ALU conference in Cairo on Friday.
Participants at the conference, which concluded on Saturday, discussed several issues related to democracy and human rights.
