Archbishop Attallah appointed president of Jordan churches council

AMMAN — Greek Orthodox Patriarch of Jerusalem Theophilos III on Saturday appointed Archbishop Christophorus Attallah as president of Jordan churches council, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
During the appointment ceremony in Amman, the Patriarch said that the patriarchy has made changes in sensitive posts due to the serious developments related to the region and the holy city.
Christophorus has been promoted to an archbishop and a president of Amman bishopric in May. Several bishops, fathers, persists and deacons, in addition to a number of officials attended the ceremony.
