AREC headquarters to be established in Amman

AMMAN — A Royal Decree was issued on Thursday, approving a Cabinet decision to establish a headquarters for the Arab Renewable Energy Commission (AREC) in Amman.
On May 18, the government signed an agreement with AREC to establish a headquarters for it in the capital.
AREC Chairman HRH Prince Asem Bin Nayef and Trade Minister Hatem Halawani signed the agreement.
AREC aims to raise public awareness of green energy utilisation within the Arab region and promote its use in economic and social development.
