Army chief directs RMS to increase number of COVID tests

AMMAN — Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Maj. Gen. Yousef Huneiti on Sunday directed the Royal Medical Services (RMS) to increase the number of COVID-19 tests conducted through the military and field hospitals across the Kingdom, a move that came in light of increase in the number of laboratories, beds and field hospitals dedicated to treat coronavirus patients.
Acting director general of the RMS Brig. Gen. Ahmed Omari said that a campaign to test all visitors of the RMS, military personnel and civilians, has been carried out, as per directives, highlighting the importance of this measure in containing the pandemic, the Jordan news Agency, Petra, reported.
