Army chief receives US Congress delegation

AMMAN — King’s Military Adviser and Chairman of the Joint Chiefs-of-Staff Gen. Mashal Al Zaben on Wednesday met with a US Congress delegation, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
Zaben discussed bilateral relations and regional and international developments with the delegation, headed by Congressman Dana Rohrabacher (R-California), the chair of the US House Foreign Affairs Subcommittee on Europe, Eurasia and Emerging Threats.
HRH Prince Feisal attended the meeting. Also on Wednesday, Water Minister Hazem Nasser met with the delegates and showcased the most important features of the Red Sea-Dead Sea Water Conveyance Project, Petra reported.
He expected work on the project to start in 2017. Rohrabacher stressed his country’s interest in expanding cooperation with Jordan.
