Army chief, UK ambassador attend military drill

AMMAN — Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Maj. Gen. Yousef Huneiti and British Ambassador in Amman Bridget Brind on Wednesday attended a military aerial exercise conducted by the Special Operation Forces, the Royal Jordanian Air Force and Britain's 16 Air Assault Brigade. The exercise included air incursions and strikes and simulated fighting in built-up areas, according to the Jordan News Agency, Petra.
The drill aims to cement joint cooperation and exchange of military experiences between the armies of the two friendly countries at various operational, training and logistical levels. The exercise was attended by the British Special Defence Adviser in the Middle East, a number of military attaches accredited to the Kingdom, as well as senior officers of the armed forces, according to a Jordan Armed Forces-Arab Army statement.
