Army chief visits Hungary

AMMAN — Chairman of the Joint Chiefs-of-Staff Lt. Gen. Mahmoud Freihat recently went on an official visit to Hungary where he was received by the Hungarian Defence Forces Chief-of-staff Col. Gen. Tibor Benkő, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported on Sunday.
During a meeting with Hungarian Defence Minister István Simicskó and Col. Gen Benkő, Freihat discussed the cooperation in the fight against terrorism and extremism, stability in the Middle East, and issues of common interest to the armed forces of the two countries.
At the end of his three-day visit, Freihat and his Hungarian counterpart signed a cooperation agreement in the field of training and exchange of expertise.
