AMMAN — In the wake of Israeli forces’ latest aggression against Palestinians, more than 30 Arab artists have united to rally support for Palestinians.
Brought together in an art exhibition titled, “For Palestine” at the Orient Gallery in Amman, in cooperation with the American University of Beirut Alumni Club of Jordan, 45 art pieces are being showcased, a gallery official who preferred to remain unnamed told The Jordan Times on Wednesday.
“All of the exhibition’s proceeds will go to Palestine through Taawon, a welfare association based in Palestine,” he said.
“The exhibition is going pretty well and most of the art pieces have been sold,” the official added.
The exhibition started on Tuesday and will end on Thursday.
Salma Ali, a Jordanian who visited the exhibition on Tuesday, said that she enjoyed her visit.
“I took a look at each and every art piece that was showcases in the gallery. I believe that we could support Palestinians by visiting art galleries like this one,” she said.
