Ayla Marathon from Dead Sea to Aqaba kicks off

AMMAN — The Ayla Marathon kicked off on Thursday. The starting point for the 242-km 24-hour race is the Royal Society for the Conservation of Nature’s (RSCN) Mujib Adventures Centre at the shores of the Dead Sea, the lowest point on earth, 415m below sea level.
The race will run through Madaba, Karak, and Tafeileh towards Aqaba to reach sea level.
The event witnesses a great participation from both Jordanian and non-Jordanian runners, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
