BAU President meets with US Embassy Cultural Affairs Officer over academic cooperation

AMMAN — President of Al-Balqa Applied University (BAU) Ahmed Fakhri Al-Ajlouni, and the US Embassy Cultural Affairs Officer McKenzie Louw held a meeting to discuss ways to expand collaboration between BAU and American universities.
During the meeting was attended by the Vice President for Academic Affairs, Zakaria Al-Qudah, Dean of Scientific Research and Innovation Saeid Abu-Romman, Director of the Language Centre Naji Qubeilat, and Director of the International Projects Department Khetam Shraideh, according to a BAU statement.
The meeting tackled BAU’s "strong relations" with a number of top-tier American universities, with which scholars from the Faculty of Medicine have been sent to.
Al-Ajlouni highlighted that the university is interested in increasing cultural and academic cooperation and exchange between the two sides by sending students to study for a semester or two at American universities in a variety of disciplines, as well as exchanging faculty members, read the statement.
Al-Ajlouni briefed the US Embassy Public Cultural Officer about BAU’s World ranking.
In turn, Louw highlighted that the visit aims to explore opportunities for collaboration between BAU and American Universities.
