AMMAN — The Jordan Armed Forces (JAF) on Wednesday prevented a vehicle loaded with smuggled items from crossing into Jordan from Syria, according to a JAF source.
Border guards exchanged fire with the smugglers, who fled back to Syria.
The source said the car was seized, noting that it was carrying hashish, 4.7 million illegal narcotic pills, and ammunition.
In another incident, two infiltrators were shot as they were trying to illegally enter the Kingdom, and they were sent to a nearby field hospital.
