AMMAN — Border Guards killed two suspects and injured a third, applying the rules of engagement, as they attempted to smuggle narcotics from Syria into the Kingdom over the past 72 hours, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.

The third suspect fled into Syria and the area was later secured, with troops finding 49,900 tramadol pills and 200,000 captagon pills and referring them to the concerned authorities.

Earlier, the Border Guards and Anti-Narcotics Department personnel have foiled an attempt to smuggle 693 palm-sized sheets of hashish, 446,000 captagon pills and 2 kilogrammes of heroin and referred them to the concerned authorities, Petra reported.
