AMMAN — British Ambassador to Jordan Peter Millett and British Council Director Robin Rickard on Thursday visited the Education Ministry and met with Minister Mohammad Thneibat, according to an embassy statement.
The visit was a follow up to Thneibat’s visit to the UK last month where he toured a number of education institutions.
Millett said the embassy and British Council are “ready” to follow up with concrete steps to support the ministry’s education reform programme “by focussing on key issues like vocational training and teacher training”, according to the statement.
“I am confident that we will be able to help the ministry deliver real change,” the ambassador added.
