Business officials confirm trade zone in Djibouti underway

AMMAN — President of the Businesspeople Association of Jordanian Expatriates (BAJE) Fadi Majali on Wednesday said details on the Jordanian free zone in Djibouti will be revealed soon, a statement carried by the Jordan News Agency, Petra, said.
Majali underlined that the project is underway, stressing that it will boost Jordan’s exports to Africa, which is considered an important and promising market, Petra reported.
The BAJE’s representative for African relations Raed Nofal discussed with the chairman of the Free Zones Board in Djibouti, Abu Bakr Omar Hadi, the details and necessary procedures to ensure the completion of the project, according to Majali.
Nofal called on the industrial sector and all stakeholders in the development of industrial exports to focus on the underway project, as it represents a gateway to boosting Jordanian exports to the African market, Petra reported.
