AMMAN — The Cabinet on Wednesday endorsed the 2020 bylaw to establish the National Epidemiology and Infectious Diseases Centre in a session headed by Prime Minister and Minister of Defence Bisher Al Khasawneh, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
Approving the bylaw came in response to the Royal directives of His Majesty King Abdullah in his Letter of Designation, which stressed the importance of enhancing the “ability to deal with the pandemic and any similar future challenges”.
The Cabinet also approved amendments to the two 2020 bylaws pertaining to officers and personnel in the Jordanian Armed Forces-Arab Army to alleviate living conditions of retired service personnel by increasing end-of-service indemnities, Petra reported.
