AMMAN — The Cabinet on Sunday approved the mandating reasons for a draft "bylaw of the food security council for 2022", referring it to the Legislation and Opinion Bureau to be duly shared with the legal committee. The newly launched Economic Modernisation Vision (2022-2033) stipulated the establishment of a specialised food security agency, meant to reduce the Kingdom's vulnerability to global food crises and climate change, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
The Council of Ministers also approved the mandating reasons for draft amendments to groundwater control bylaws for 2022, which aim at keeping pace with the challenges facing the water sector and improving the regulations governing the sector, as well as maintaining support for the agriculture industry and farmers. The mandating reasons for a draft bylaw of the Human Trafficking Victim Assistance Fund for 2022 were also endorsed during the session.
