AMMAN — The Cabinet on Wednesday approved the public-private partnership bylaw of 2021.
The bylaw identifies the stages and procedures of small-sized partnership projects whose costs are less than the amount set by the Council of Ministers, and clarifies procedures for floating tenders of partnership schemes in a way that guarantees equality and transparency, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
The Council of Ministers also approved the 2021 national register bylaw for government investment projects, which aims at providing comprehensive data for all public investment projects and listing them at the register established at the Ministry of Planning and International Cooperation.
Under the bylaw, a government investment project committee is formed and an organisational unit at the ministry is identified to be tasked with administrating the national register and updating its data.
Also on Wednesday, the Cabinet agreed on the 2021 administrative organisation bylaw of the National Cyber Security Centre, which aims at drawing an organisational structure of the tasks and authorities of the centre, as well as the relation among its organisational units and methods of communication and coordination among these units.
The Council of Ministers also approved amending standards for delivering electricity to housing communities outside the borders of municipalities to be funded by the Fils Al Reef, which is a fee added to each kilowatt a household uses.
The amendment lowered the number of houses of a housing community to three instead of five to deliver electricity, provided that the area has a paved way, according to Petra.
