Cabinet exempts ASEZA tourist practitioners from licence renewal fees

AMMAN — The Cabinet on Wednesday approved exempting owners and practitioners of licensed tourist professions at the Aqaba Special Economic Zone Authority from licence renewal fees and all financial allowances and land rents due to failure to pay licence fees or paying salaries in 2020.
The Council of Ministers also approved lowering the fees of waste collecting by 50 per cent for one time, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported. Those who paid all the above-mentioned fees and allowances for 2020 will be granted the same exemptions in 2021.
Meanwhile, the Cabinet approved the recommendations of the settlement and conciliation committee according to bases of settling pending cases between taxpayers and the Income and Sales Tax Department. It also approved a memorandum of understanding between the Agriculture Ministry and its Spanish counterpart with the aim of enhancing agricultural cooperation.
