Campaign launched to distribute 20,000 energy-saving LED bulbs

AMMAN — The Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources, through the Jordan Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency Fund (JREEEF), on Tuesday launched a campaign to distribute 20,000 energy-saving LED light bulbs to families living in underprivileged areas. According to a ministry statement, each house will receive five LED bulbs and the campaign, a donation offered by Bautak Jordan, will be conducted in two phases, each includes 10,000 units.
Energy Minister Hala Zawati, during the launching ceremony, lauded the public-private cooperation in various energy saving projects in the domestic sector, schools, places of worship and hotels across the Kingdom.
The campaign covers Fifa Valley in Karak, Rahma and Qatar regions in Aqaba, Ruweished, Al Risha, Manshia Al Ghaiat in Wadi Al Sharqiya, Fenoush in Deir Alla, Al Khashafia and Al Mankhan in Sahab, and the Schneler Camp in Marka.
