Canadian FM pays visit to solar project in Deir Alla

AMMAN — The solar energy field project saves the Deir Alla Municipality JD400,000 annually, which has allowed for the provision of more services, improvements to the infrastructure and the creation of development projects, Deir Alla Mayor Mustafa Shatti said on Wednesday.
While receiving Canadian Minister of International Development Harjit S. Sajjan and an accompanying delegation, Shatti said that the solar energy project was financed by the Canadian government and contributed to providing jobs for local residents, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
Shatti expressed gratitude for the Canadian government and embassy and the Sustainable Energy and Economic Development in Jordan Project (SEED).Sajjan expressed his admiration of the “good administration, follow-up and accuracy” in implementing the requirements of the project and realising sustainability, according to Petra.
