CDC concludes visit to Jordan

AMMAN — The delegation of the US Centres for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) on Thursday concluded its official visit to the Kingdom. The National Epidemiology and Infectious Diseases Centre held several meetings with the guest delegation, according to Head of the National Epidemiology and Infectious Diseases Centre, Raeda Qutob.
She noted that the meetings covered mechanisms to support the centre's efforts to combat health-related threats and optimising international health expertise to enhance Jordan's health security and public health. The centre shared its draft strategy with the US delegation as well as its plans to establish a health information system intended to link and analyse data to predict disease occurrence.
