AMMAN — During the Jordanian-German Economic Forum, President of the Amman Chamber of Industry (ACI) Fathi Jaghbir has called for enhancing joint investments between Jordanian and German businesspeople in the industrial sector, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
“Investment is not only a main operator for economic growth, but also contributes to secure customers’ needs during crises,” the president said.
The event was held virtually on Saturday in cooperation with the German-Arab Chamber of Industry and Commerce (GACIC).
The forum aims at enhancing ties between the two countries in the fields of energy, renewable energy, industry, water, infrastructure, health, education and training, Petra said.

Jordanian Ambassador to Germany Bashir Al Khasawneh referred to the “deep-rooted” ties between Amman and Berlin in various fields, praising the German support to the Kingdom, especially in light of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Head of the Egypt-based GACIC Imad Ghali stressed the important role of the forum in boosting ties among Jordanian, Egyptian and German companies, noting that the chamber is scheduled to hold more meetings within the next two months to enhance relations among private sector institutions in the third world.
