Civil Aviation Regulatory Commission (CARC) swears in board members

AMMAN — Board members of the Civil Aviation Regulatory Commission (CARC) on Monday took the oath of office before Prime Minister and Minister of Defence Bisher Al Khasawneh after the Council of Ministers approved their appointment.
Captain Haitham Misto took the oath of office as chief commissioner of CARC, Salah Omoush as commissioner and deputy commissioner, and Hisham Momani as commissioner, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
Minister of Transport Wajih Azaizeh attended the swearing-in ceremony.
The Cabinet had decided previously, as part of merging independent commissions, to reduce the number of commissioners at CARC to three instead of five to save expenditures and improve performance.
