AMMAN — The Aqaba Special Economic Zone Authority (ASEZA) has established customs clearance units at Al Mazafar and Wadi Araba centres to facilitate the movement of goods from the customs area to ASEZA and to ease the process of reclaiming tax exemption of domestic and foreign purchases’ invoices, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
ASEZA Chief Commissioner Nasser Shraideh said that developing these units aims to stimulate business activity and encourage direct import operations in ASEZA, as well as reducing the allowances in light of the difficult economic conditions in the commercial sector.
