AMMAN — Jordan's daily newspapers will not be published on Thursday due to the prevailing weather conditions.
The decision not to issue print editions was made by The Jordan Times, Al Rai, Ad-Dustour, Al Ghad and Al Arab Al Yawm.
According to editors at these papers, the decisions were taken in view of the difficulties in getting staff members to their offices and in distributing print editions, as major roads were already blocked by snow by Wednesday afternoon.
More snow and colder temperatures were forecast for later in the day and Thursday, meaning the decision to suspend publication might be extended.
The government already declared Thursday a public holiday.
