Daoud attends Orthodox Christmas mass in Bethlehem

AMMAN — Deputising for His Majesty King Abdullah, Minister of State for Prime Ministry Affairs Sami Daoud on Monday night attended the Midnight Mass at the Church of the Nativity in Bethlehem as Orthodox Christians celebrated Christmas.
Daoud conveyed King Abdullah's Christmas greetings to Orthodox Christians, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported. The celebrations are held in accordance with the Eastern calendar of the Roman Orthodox, Assyrian, Coptic and Ethiopian Orthodox churches.
Daoud highlighted the deep-rooted ties between the Jordanian and the Palestinian people, expressing wishes for a year full of love and peace for the region, notably the Palestinians who are suffering from living under occupation.
