AMMAN — Deputising for His Majesty King Abdullah, Royal Court Chief Yousef Issawi on Wednesday attended the funeral of former prime minister Abdulsalam Majali in Karak's Yarout region.
Issawi conveyed His Majesty's condolences to the Majali family, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
Majali assumed several posts, including prime minister, foreign minister and defence minister between 1993 and 1995, and prime minister and defence minister between 1997 and 1998.
He also served as health minister, minister of state for prime ministry affairs, education minister and adviser to His Majesty the late King Hussein, and senator, among others.
He also headed the Jordanian delegation to the Mideast peace process talks.
