Deputy House speaker receives World Trade Organisation chief

AMMAN — First Lower House Deputy Speaker Mustafa Amawi on Thursday met with World Trade Organisation Director General Roberto Azevêdo and discussed ways to enhance cooperation for the benefit of Jordan’s foreign trade as well as developments in the region.
Amawi highlighted Jordan’s economic and political reform and the repercussions of the Syrian crisis, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported. Azevêdo commended Jordan’s role in regards to the Syrian crisis and said his visit to the Kingdom aims at drawing up a strategy to support Jordan as it faces various challenges.
