Domestic helper critical after reported self-immolation

AMMAN — A Bangladeshi domestic helper reportedly set herself on fire in her room in a house she works at in Madaba, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported on Wednesday.
Madaba Civil Defence Department (CDD) cadres arrived at the scene while the domestic helper was still on fire and she was taken to Nadim Public Hospital where the hospital director said she suffered third-degree burns and was listed in critical condition. She was referred to Al Bashir Hospital.
