AMMAN — The Education Ministry on Wednesday called on private education institutions to commit to the law that bans increasing tuition fees, salaries or allowances during the academic year.
The ministry added that the increase should not exceed 5 per cent on an annual basis, after securing the ministry’s approval, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
The ministry said it had rejected several applications submitted by private schools to increase tuition fees, adding that they did not present valid reasons.
