Expatriate Jordanian nurse dies of COVID-19

AMMAN — A Jordanian nurse working in the UAE died on Thursday of COVID-19, according to the Foreign Ministry.
Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Daifallah Fayez said that the nurse, who worked for an Emirati hospital, contracted the disease last week, and her health condition started out stable, then deteriorated, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
Fayez said that the general consulate in the UAE followed up with local authorities on the incident and informed the family of the deceased, noting that the nurse was buried in the UAE.
