Expatriate remittances rise to $2.2 billion in January-July period

AMMAN — Remittances by Jordanian expatriates rose by 1.4 per cent between January and July this year compared with the same period last year, the Central Bank of Jordan (CBJ) announced Tuesday.
According to CBJ data, remittances reached $2.2 billion in the first seven months of 2014.
In the same period of 2013, they stood at $2.16 billion.
