AMMAN — Senate President Faisal Fayez on Wednesday commended the "deep-rooted and strategic" Jordanian-Saudi ties at all levels, mainly in the political, economic and social fields.
During a meeting with Saudi Ambassador to Jordan Naif Bin Bandar Al Sudairi, Fayez said that the Kingdom believes that the security of Saudi Arabia and Gulf countries in general is part of the Jordanian national security, as Amman condemns and opposes any intervention in their internal affairs, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
He also highlighted the importance of further developing bilateral relations, especially under the circumstances that Arab nations are facing, which require joint efforts in addressing joint challenges. For his part, Sudairi said that Jordan plays a large and historical role in maintaining the unity of Arab countries and preserving their security and stability, voicing Riyadh's appreciation for Amman's supportive stances to the Gulf kingdom.
