AMMAN — A five-week Integrated Field Exercise 2014 (IFE14) carried out by the Comprehensive Nuclear-Test-Ban Treaty organisation (CTBTO) at the Dead Sea concluded on Wednesday.
The on-site inspection sought to establish whether a nuclear explosion has taken place at the site or not.
The exercise, which was based on a purely fictional, but technically realistic scenario, was successful and proved the team’s capability to carry out accurate inspections to detect any kind of nuclear explosions, according to CTBTO Executive Secretary LassinaZerbo.
