AMMAN — The Public Security Department (PSD) media office on Saturday said Anti-Narcotics Department agents seized 15 kilogrammes of heroin that were to be smuggled into a neighbouring country.
The agents received information around a month ago about an attempt to smuggle large amounts of heroin into a neighbouring country, a PSD statement said.
Through investigation, they identified the suspects.
After close monitoring, the suspects’ truck was seized with the drugs on board before it reached its destination.
The four suspects were all detained and referred to the prosecutor general.
