Finance minister reviews progress of free and development zones

AMMAN — Minister of Finance Ezzeddine Kanakrieh on Sunday discussed the work progress of the free and development zones, in the presence of the Jordan Free and Development Zones Group (JFDZ) Chairman of the Board of Directors Abdulmajid Alrahamneh, members of the board, and the executive management.
A statement issued by the JFDZ and carried by the Jordan News Agency, Petra, said that Kanakrieh discussed ways to enhance the investment environment and due process to attract new quality investments in the six free zones in the Kingdom, especially in the free zone at Queen Alia International Airport, thus positively contributing to the investment environment in the Kingdom.
The finance minister reviewed the investment opportunities in the Dead Sea and the Ajloun Development Zones, pointing out that it is expected to float the Ajloun cable cars project tender before the end of this year, the statement added.
